The Bean Bag Food Program

Ways to Help

Looking to get involved? Get started here!

How It Works

Through partnerships with individual schools in the Souderton and Quakertown Community School Districts, we connect with families in need to provide weekend meals every week. We rely on the work and trust of counselors, nurses, principals and other school administrators to not only identify those children and families who need help, but integrating them in our program with open hearts.

How You Can Help

The easiest way to make an immediate, direct impact is to Donate.

Since COVID-19 restrictions were put in place, we no longer deliver back packs full of food to schools for distribution. We now deliver food directly to homes through our volunteer base. If you’re interested in volunteer opportunities or your business wants to partner with us for a future event, we’d love to hear from you.

And if you or someone you know may be in need, or if you’re a school administrator that wants to join the Bean Bag Food Program, simply fill out the form below.

Food Donations

We’re always accepting food donations to help support our community. Food items can be dropped off at the Zion Mennonite Church office, 149 Cherry Lane, Souderton PA, from 9am-3pm Monday through Friday or left in the collection box at the Front Street entrance. If necessary, please contact 215-588-3276 to make arrangements for a different drop off time.

See a complete list of accepted food items here.
